Balsewicz, Donald J.Donald J. Balsewicz, age 85, died on Monday, March 6, 2017 at his home in Fremont. He was born on November 26, 1931, in Milwaukee, WI, the son of the late Max and Dorothy (Dankert) Balsewicz. Donald served his country in the US Army. He worked many years as a auto body technician before retiring. On August 4, 1956, Donald married Victoria Surdyk in Milwaukee. She preceded him in death on March 7, 2013. Donald is survived by two sons, Ronald Balsewicz and Doug Balsewicz; and a daughter, Cheryl Blazekovic; six grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, a great-great-grandchild; two brothers, Raymond (Rosemary) Balsewicz and Thomas Balsewicz; four sisters, Beverly Simonsen, MaryAnn Balsewicz, Patricia (George) Petz and Jacqueline Balsewicz. He was preceded in death by his parents, and a grandson. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 18, 2017 at 11AM at the Lewin Funeral Home, Fremont. Pastor Alex Tychkin will officiate. Burial with full military rites will be in Lakeside Cemetery, Fremont. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Saturday from 10AM until the time of service.
