Donald F. McAninch, age 87, of Brookville, PA, passed away on Monday, October 5, 2015, at the Brookville Hospital. He was born on January 3, 1928, to the late Albert and Elizabeth Mae (Wolfe) McAninch, in Brookville, PA. On April 9, 1949, he married Joyce U. McAninch, she preceded him in death on March 31, 1989. Donald served his country as a member of the United States Navy. He worked as a supervisor for Sylvania but ended up becoming part owner of White-Brook, Inc., which was a machine shop. He was a member of the Masons, Hobah Lodge 276 in Brookville, PA,  in which he received a 50 year pin, Fraternal Order of the Eagles #983, in Brookville, PA, a lifetime member of the VFW Hall in Indiana, PA, and a retired Brookville Volunteer Fire Fighter. He is survived by 2 daughters, Deborah (Richard) Rafferty, and Shelley (Robert) Haines; 2 sisters, Thyra Rhodes, and Beverly Pangallo; 8 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren. In addition to his wife and parents, he is preceded in death by 1 son, Roger McAninch; 1 sister, Shirley Goheen; and 1 brother, Lawrence McAninch. Family and friends will be received on Wednesday, October 7, 2015, from 1 - 8pm, at the McKinney - d'Argy Funeral Home, 345 Main St., Brookville, PA, 15825. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 8, 2015, also at the McKinney - d'Argy Funeral Home, beginning at 11:00am, with Pastor Joni Williams officiating.
