Donald Craig CourtneyVirginia Beach - Donald Craig Courtney, 67, passed away on December 6, 2016 after a short battle with cancer in the loving home of his wife Marta and his beloved pets. He was born on December 8, 1948 in Bethesda, Maryland to the late Irwin Gover Courtney and Lucy Virginia Courtney. Donald was a dedicated employee at CMA/CGM, America and an avid fan of the Miami Dolphins. He was a talented musician, having played trumpet in the Baltimore Colts pep band and on the Worship Team for Rock Church of Maryland. He is survived by three brothers, Irwin G. Courtney II of Shadyside, Md., Michael B. Courtney of Arnold, Md., and Mark F. Courtney of Forest, Va.; his wife, Marta; his aunt Louise Yohe of Columbia, Md.; and many cousins, nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held on January 14, 2017 at 11am at Sandbridge United Methodist Church, 3041 Sandpiper Rd., Virginia Beach, VA 23456. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Society for the Prevention of Animals (ASPCA).
