Donald Gabriel, 77, of Merced, California, passed Saturday, August 24, 2019. Donald was born to Arthur and Clara Gabriel, June 15, 1942 in Merced, California. He married Kathy Echols in 1972, and they lived 47 years together in Merced. Donald worked as a Mechanic for a local Merced cannery for over 44 years eventually retiring from the Teamsters Union.

Donald is survived by two children: Leland (Sandee), and Donica Avelar (Jorge). He also is survived by one grandchild Isabella Avelar and one nephew Scott Cummins (Martha).
