We are saddened to announce the passing of Donald Puckett, who left this world on June 1, 2025, at the age of 73. Born on September 26, 1951, in Prineville, Oregon, Donald was known for his quick wit, infectious laughter, and love for life.

Donald, the son of Lester(Red) and Leona Puckett was a devoted husband to Susan Puckett, whom he met at a rodeo dance and fell in love and 5 years later convinced her to say yes to marriage in 1977. Together, they raised two wonderful daughters, Barbara Stevenson (Prineville Or)(married to Darron Stevenson) and Suzanna McClung.(Sisters Or) He is survived by 4 grandchildren 2 great grandchildren, his sister Beverly Barr (Mollala Or) and many neices and nephews.

Donald started working at the mills right out of highschool and helped on the family ranches in between and bull riding in his free time. He later did volunteer firefighting and ended is work career has a janitor after moving to Sister and starting a family. He was always ready to lend a helping hand to his community, friends, family or stranger. In his free time, he enjoyed camping, quad riding, reading Westerns, playing with his grandchildren, and traveling the country.

Although we will miss his jokes and his adventurous spirit, we take comfort in knowing that he is now reunited with his parents, aunts,uncles and so many others in the great beyond. Rest in peace, Donald Puckett, you will always be remembered with a smile.
