Donald Puckett, beloved husband, father, and grandfather, passed away on June 1, 2025, in Prineville, Oregon. Born on September 26, 1951, to Grumpy and Leona Puckett, Donald was known for his quick wit, generous heart, and love for practical jokes.
Donald was married to his devoted wife, Susan, for 77 years. Together, they raised two wonderful children, Susanna and Barbara, who in turn gave them four delightful grandchildren.
Donald spent his days as a Volunteer Firefighter, always eager to lend a helping hand and save the day. He was known for his bravery and dedication to his community, often risking life and limb to keep others safe.
Unfortunately, Donald's mischievous nature could not protect him from his battle with lung disease. Despite his best efforts (and countless attempts at using duct tape as a remedy), he ultimately succumbed to the illness.
While Donald will be sorely missed by all who knew him, we take comfort in the memories of his infectious laughter, his never-ending pranks, and his unwavering love for his family. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the Prineville Volunteer Fire Department in honor of Donald's legacy.
Rest in peace, dear Donald. We'll miss your jokes and your kind spirit more than words can say. And may your next adventure be filled with endless joy and laughter, wherever you may be.
