Donald Harold Adams was born on April 12, 1940 in Wilson, North Carolina. He attended Springfield High School and graduated in 1958. After completing his education, he spent his entire career working for the New York City Transit System as a Conductor and later retired as a Motorman at 50.
Donald met and later married Earnestine King on April 25, 1962, in New York City. Their union lasted for 62 years. Donald was a great provider, a wonderful husband and father, a good friend, and never met a stranger. He loved visiting family and friends, reading, solving puzzles, watching Jeopardy, and traveling to Coney Island.
Donald is preceded in death by his parents Roosevelt & Lillie Mae Adams; his two brothers: Julius, John, his sister Beverly; and his brothers-in-law Bobby and Leroy
Donald leaves to cherish his memory: his devoted wife Earnestine King Adams; daughters Tiffany, Shacora, and Chandra ; sister Geraldine Dew; sons Derek (Rebecca), Brian (Cheryl), and Tyrone (Antoinette); grandchildren Kiara, Kenya, Kaela, Torri, Brian Jr., Jasai, and Laila; great-grandchildren Chloe, Kiyan, Karter, Cassidy and Peyton.
Donald will be truly missed, but his memory will forever live on in the hearts of his loved ones. Donald will be deeply missed by all who knew him. He leaves behind a legacy of love, compassion, and kindness that will live on in the hearts of his family and friends.
