Donald passed peacefully the morning of December 28, 2020 in Gatesville, TX. He is preceded by his mother Marcella Elliott, his brother Richard Leigh, his sister Sharon Russ and his son Donnie Peterson. He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Carolyn Fay Leigh, his children, Michael Leigh, Nancy Napoli, Ralph Leigh, Laura Leigh, Chris Leigh, his 10 grandchildren, twins Robert and Richard VanDyne, Nicole Steffan, Mikey Leigh, Michelle Leigh, Jordan Leigh, Jessica Leigh, Kathryn Leigh, Christopher Leigh and Jordan Peterson and his 13 great grandchildren.

On Friday November 26, 2021 at 3pm we will celebrate Donald’s life at Folly Beach, SC because he loved the sea. He also loved the outdoors, riding his motorcycle, camping, flying his plane, skydiving and hang gliding. He loved to have a good time, laughing and make others laugh. He had a great sense of humor and good at practical jokes. He was a builder and a great carpenter. He was always fixing something, tinkering in the garage or out in the yard doing something. He liked to travel and visit with friends and family. He knew how to enjoy life and he did. His laughter will be missed.
