In Loving Memory of

Dona T. Truitt

Sunrise: August 24, 1953

Sunset: August 20, 2024

With loving hearts, we remember and honor the beautiful life of Dona T. Truitt, whose love, kindness, and gentle spirit will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.

Dona grew up in Houston, Texas, where she began a journey that would touch the lives of many. She was a dedicated and deeply family-oriented woman who treasured the simple joys of life—especially spending time with her family and friends. Her loving and kind nature made those around her feel cared for, valued, and welcomed.

Above all, Dona was a devoted and loving mother to her son, Edward. The love she had for him was a special part of who she was, and the bond they shared will forever be cherished. Her family was her heart, and the love she gave so freely will continue to live on through those she leaves behind.

Dona was preceded in death by her mother, Patricia Trimmer; her father, Walter Trimmer; her brother, Paul Trimmer; and her husband, Edward Truitt.

She leaves to cherish her precious memory her son, Edward Truitt, and her niece, Patricia Ricotta of Leander, along with other beloved family members, friends, and all whose lives she touched throughout her journey.

The family extends its deepest and most heartfelt gratitude to the compassionate caregivers, teams, and individuals who provided Dona with care, comfort, companionship, and support, including the Always Best Care Team, the Amedisys Hospice Team, the Center at Parmer Team, the lady she enjoyed having coffee with and her team, and all those who brought warmth and kindness into Dona’s days.

Your compassion, dedication, and loving care brought comfort not only to Dona, but also to those who loved her. The family will forever remember and deeply appreciate every kindness shown to her throughout her journey.

A Time to Remember

Family and friends are warmly invited to share a special memory, story, or words of love in Dona’s honor. To allow everyone an opportunity to participate, please keep memories to approximately two minutes.

The family is especially grateful to O’Neal Hampton, who will deliver the eulogy and help us reflect upon and celebrate Dona’s life, her beautiful spirit, and the love she shared with those around her.

Dona’s journey on earth may have come to an end, but the love she gave, the memories she created, and the lives she touched will continue to live on.

May her memory be a blessing, may her love remain in our hearts, and may the beautiful memories of Dona bring comfort to all who knew and loved her.

Forever loved. Forever remembered. Forever in our hearts.

You can to the family or in memory of Dona Truitt.
