LIGONIER — Dolores J. Orona, age 76, of Ligonier passed away on Saturday, March 7, 2015, at her residence. She was born on June 21, 1938, to Donald and Hermine (Garcia) Andrews in Los Angeles, California. Dolores married John Palmer of Ligonier in 1958. She then married Felix Orona of Fresno, California, in 1980. Dolores was a very simple and happy woman. She loved and cared for her children and grandchildren and they were simply her main focus and life love. Dolores was known for her warm and friendly smile and she loved to share it. Dolores is survived by her six children, Norma Brady of Fort Wayne, Indiana, Diana Householder of Oxnard, California, David Palmer of Ligonier, Indiana, John Palmer of Goshen, Indiana, Sally Greer of Churubusco, Indiana, and Janie (Art) Gutierrez of Ligonier, Indiana; and 12 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Diane Foote. A funeral service will be held at Yeager Funeral Home on Friday, March 13, 2015, at 1 p.m. Pastor John Lutton will officiate. Family and friends will be received prior to the funeral service on March 13, 2015, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Memorial contributions may be directed to the Ligonier food bank.
