This obituary is administered by:
Dolores Elizabeth Wynn passed away Friday night, December 28th 2012. She was born on February 17th 1936, the eldest of three girls, in Hoonah, AK to Beulah (Rude) and Charles Metz. She attended Wrangell High School and graduated in 1953. The family then moved to Juneau in 1953 where she remained for 41 years. Dolores worked mainly for the State of Alaska in a variety of departments including State Troopers, Revenue and Limited Entry Commission, and retired in 1986. She was first married to Bruce Gleason, and had two children, Denise and Charles. She married John (Red) Wynn in 1960 and had a son, Curtis. They would have celebrated 53 years together this year. They spent many years doing things they loved like hunting, fishing, beachcombing and berry picking. In 1994 they moved to Anacortes, WA to be closer to their son Curtis and built a new home there. She is survived by her husband John, daughter Denise Riddle of Bakersfield CA, son Curtis of Ballard WA, sisters Beulah (Dooly) Dickson of Haines and Carol Watts of Juneau. There will be no service; instead, Dolores will be cremated and have her ashes strewn near Icy Strait, close to her beginnings as well as one of her favorite fishing areas.
