We are gathered here today to remember and honor the incredible life of Dionna Goodwin, who was born on July 13, 1998, in Chicago Lawn, Illinois, United States. Dionna was a beloved member of the community, known for her kindness, passion, and unwavering dedication to her two children, Kalani and I’nnocent.

Dionna had a zest for life that was infectious to all who knew her. She had a love for dancing and could often be found grooving to the beat of her favorite songs. Her skills in the kitchen were unmatched, and she could whip up delicious meals that brought joy to everyone around her.

Tragically, on November 18, 2025, Dionna’s life was cut short due to a senseless act of violence. She was shot in the head, leaving behind a community in mourning and two young children who will forever feel the loss of their devoted mother.

Although Dionna’s time with us was far too short, her impact will be felt for years to come. She leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and resilience that will continue to inspire those who knew her. May she rest in peace, knowing that she was cherished and adored by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
