Diego A. Martinez, 20, a lifetime resident of Mora, went to meet our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Saturday, July 27, 2014.He was born on Nov. 20, 1993, to Frank Martinez and Naomi Mares. Diego had a love for the outdoor life, and most of all working on his truck.He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Dolores Martinez.He is survived by his father, Frank Martinez, (Elizabeth); mother, Naomi Mares (Amos); sisters, Sommur, Willow, Deanna, Denise, Crystal, April; brother, Johnathan Martinez; grandfathers, Louie Mares, (Theresa), and Frank Martinez Sr.; grandmother, Marizabel Ulibarri; nina, Lisa Vigil and family, and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and many friendsServices will be held at 7 p.m. today (Wednesday) at St. Gertrude's Church in Mora. Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Thursday, also at St. Gertrude's Church with Father Dennis Dolter, SOLT as celebrant. Interment will follow at The Martinez Family Plot in La Cordillera with the following serving as casket bearers: Alfred Vigil, Fabian Mares, Joseph Romero, Francisco Lovato, John Salazar and Mundo Salazar. Serving as honorary bearers will be: Joseph Garcia, Isaac Lovato, Isaiah Vigil, Joshua Martinez and Raymond Santiago.
