DICK E. FOSLER SR., 92 FREEPORT - Dick E. Fosler Sr., 92, of Freeport, died, Sunday March 24, 2013, in the Stephenson Nursing Center, Freeport. Dick was born on August 16, 1920, in Freeport, the son of Charles and Blanche (Huber) Fosler. Dick married Lois K. Herbig on July 31, 1941, in Freeport. She died December 16, 2010. Dick was a 20 year employee of Micro Switch. He served in the South Pacific Theatre during World War II with the United States Navy. Dick enjoyed following the Chicago Bears. Surviving are his son, Dick Fosler Jr., of Eagan, MN.; two daughters, Sandra Fosler of Freeport and Pamela Rust of Lewisville, TX; brother, William (Ruth) Fosler of Freeport; Four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Mr. Fosler was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers; and one sister. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m., Thursday, March 28, at Burke Tubbs Funeral Home, in Freeport. There will be a visitation from 10 a.m. until the time of service at Burke Tubbs. Burial will be in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. A memorial has been established in Dick's memory.
