Dexter Hawthorne, beloved son of James Lee Hawthorne and Velma Ree Hawthorne, was born on August 8, 1956, in Baltimore City, Maryland, United States. He passed away on February 22, 2024, at the age of 67.

Dexter grew up in Baltimore City and attended Francis M. Wood High School, where he excelled academically and made lifelong friendships. After graduating, he pursued a career in state maintenance and worked tirelessly at BWI Airport for many years.

Known for his strong work ethic and dedication to his job, Dexter was a respected member of the BWI Airport maintenance team. He took great pride in his work and was always willing to go the extra mile to ensure that everything was in top condition.

In 2015, Dexter made the difficult decision to retire from his job at BWI Airport. Although he missed his work, he enjoyed spending time with his friends and family, and pursuing his hobbies in his retirement.

Despite not having any children of his own, Dexter was a loving and devoted uncle to his nieces and nephews. He was always there to offer guidance, support, and a listening ear whenever they needed it.

Dexter will be remembered for his kind heart, generous spirit, and unwavering dedication to his loved ones. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
