Derrick Williams was born on March 18, 1960 in Jersey City, NJ to the late Dorothy Williams and Thomas Jones. He departed this life on Friday, August 4, 2017 at his home.

Derrick who was affectionately known as "Ali". He attended Lincoln High School but he graduated from Snyder High School. He worked for Emblem Health as a customer service representative where he retired in 2015.

Derrick enjoyed sports, especially basketball and football. His favorite teams were the NY Knicks and the NY Giants. He was also a great cook. He loved to hang out with his friends and family. He loved reading mysteries, especially Donald Goines. He also loved fashion and getting dressed up. His favorite saying was, "There but for the grace of God go I."

Derrick was predeceased by his two brothers: Micheal Williams and Charlie Williams.

Derrick leaves to cherish his precious memory, four daughters: Shannon, Stacey, Jade, and Shianne; one brother, Dwayne Williams of Jersey City; two grandchildren; his fiancee, Dominique Fleming and her children: Aaron, Raven, Cyrus, and Sarah; one Aunt, Lottie Williams and host of family and friends.
