Family and friends it is with heavy hearts and a joyful remembrance that we announce the passing of Derrick Jones, who was born on April 27, 1999 and passed away on May 23, 2023. He lived a life that was full, vibrant, and always on the move.

Derrick was a beloved son, brother, and friend. Known for his quick wit and even quicker dance moves, he was always the life of the party. His laughter was infectious, and his sense of humor was unparalleled. His friends and family will miss his presence at every function.

Notorious for his love of food, Derrick's appetite was as insatiable as his energy level. Whether it was burgers and fries or sushi and sake, he was always eager to try something new. Some of his happiest moments were spent in the kitchen, mastering his favorite recipes and sharing meals with loved ones.

Outside of his love for food and dancing, Derrick was also an avid sports fan. His loyalty to the Memphis Grizzlies was unwavering, and he could often be found cheering them on from the sidelines. He enjoyed playing basketball with his friends, and never turned down a good game of pick-up.

While we are deeply saddened by his passing, we take comfort in the memories we shared with him and the joy he brought into our lives. Derrick will be missed, but he will forever live on in our hearts. Rest in peace, dear friend.
