We are gathered here today to celebrate the life of Derrick Peavy, who was born on July 22, 1980, in Griffin, Georgia. He passed away on January 29, 2024, surrounded by his loving family.

Derrick was the beloved son of Eddie Peavy Sr. and Brenda Peavy. He was also the devoted husband of Christy Middlebrooks, whom he married in year 1. Together, they were blessed with eight wonderful children: Quintavious, Khalique, Khaliya, Aiyanna, Derrick Jr., Honesty, Christian, and Dillion.

Derrick attended Griffin High School, where he graduated in 1998. He went on to have a successful career as an Entrepreneur and warehouse worker, always providing for his family with hard work and dedication.

Known for his infectious laughter and positive attitude, Derrick was a ray of sunshine in the lives of all who knew him. He will be remembered for his love of family, good food, and watching football on Sundays.

Although he may no longer be with us, Derrick's memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who were lucky enough to know him. Rest in peace, dear friend. You will be deeply missed.
