Denny was born on January 21, 1950 in Newark, Ohio. He is survived by his soulmate, Sylvia H. Welsh; brother, Thomas Welsh (Teresa); sister, Annette O'Brien; children, Dennis, Allison Simpson (Craig), Jessica and Jonathan.
