Gauthier, Dennis B.Dennis B. Gauthier, age 60, of Manitowoc, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, May 3, 2017 at his residence.Dennis was born on February 27, 1957, in Manitowoc, son of the late Lester F. & Dolores B. (Fischer) Gauthier. Dennis attended Manitowoc Lincoln High School. He served in the United States Army. Dennis worked at various manufacturing companies in the area and managed Cedar Grove Apartments in Manitowoc. He lived in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina for several years before moving back to the Manitowoc area to be close to his family and friends. Dennis was an avid Packer fan and enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family and friends, especially his cat Barney. Survivors include his two daughters and sons-in-law: Vicki (Phil) Schmidt, Greenville; Brenda (Rodger) Whiteside, Manitowoc; six grandchildren: Taylor, Logan, Mark, Alex, Samantha and Emma Schmidt; one brother and his special friend: Gregory L. Gauthier and Connie Keip, Manitowoc; one sister: Judith A. Johns, Manitowoc; mother of his children: Gail Soulier, Saxon; and his cat: Barney. Nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends also survive. He was preceded in death by his parents: Lester F. and Dolores B. Gauthier; four brothers: Lester J. Gauthier; Gerald A. Gauthier; Charles A. Gauthier; Robert F. Gauthier; one sister: Nancy A. Gauthier; one brother-in-law: Don Johns.Memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, May 9, 2017 at First Lutheran Church Chapel, 521 North 8th Street, Manitowoc. Rev. Roald Harswick will officiate. Relatives and friends may call at the church chapel on Tuesday from 9:30 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. Burial of his cremated remains will take place following at Knollwood Memorial Gardens.
