Denise "Dessie" MorehartFREMONT: Denise "Dessie" Morehart, 63, of Fremont, passed away on Monday, May 29, 2017 at the ProMedica Toledo Hospital. She was born on February 10, 1954 in Fremont to John & Sharon (Whaley) Kinkaid.Dessie graduated from Fremont Ross High School and continued her education at Bowling Green State University. She earned a Masters Degree in Textile/Clothing from the Ohio State University and another Masters in Student Counseling from Tiffin University. For many years, she helped guide and shape the lives of students at Fremont Ross as a teacher of Family & Consumer Sciences. Dessie loved being active and busy, often times planting flowers for Schmittuz Gardens and doing upholstery at Chick's in Fremont. She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church and a member of the Sycamore Golf Course. She enjoyed sewing; going to the YMCA playing pickle ball and swimming; visits to the lake; and all types of animals.On April 16, 1977, Dessie married Michael Morehart at Grace Lutheran Church; he survives. Also surviving are nephews, Tyler Kinkaid, who was like son to her and John Ryan Kinkaid of Elmore; and her father, John.She is preceded in death by her mother, Sharon; and brother, John L. Kinkaid.Visitation will be from 3-8 p.m. at the Herman-Karlovetz Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Fremont on Friday, June 2, 2017. Funeral Services will be on Saturday, June 3, 2017 at 9:30 a.m. at the funeral home. Pastor Jody Rice will officiate.
