Denise LaNora Brown Obituary

This obituary is administered by:

In loving memory

Denise LaNora Brown was born on November 18, 1952 in Fort Knox, Kentucky to Joe N. Brown and Reba A. (Wilson) Brown.

Denise was the second child born to this union. One of the things that Denise most cherised was that her birthday was the day after her grandmother's birthday. It was noted throughout the family that Denise favored her grandmother and so the birthdays being back to back was very special to her. Denise cherished and loved her son, DeSean Carey her only child. DeSean was everything to her and she always did whatever she could to please him. She loved him dearly and you might even say that she spoiled him! Growing up in San Francisco Denise was a sweet little girl. She had a cute little round face and was a pleasant child. She and her sister were best buddies and shared everything. They were often mistaken as twins because they dressed alike and wore the same hair style. Being only eleven months apart they were the same age for three weeks every year. They called each other "sister" when they spoke on the phone, and they kept each other up to date with what was happening in their families.

In her early twenties Denise met and fell in love with Lionel Molten aka "Moe". She lived an exc iting lifestyle dressing like "Foxy Brown" and driving Corvets and Cadillacs. It was a car accident which caused one leg to become shorter than the other and it gave her a great deal of pain. As time passed Denise's affections were offered to many of the people she met along the way. She had a great big heart and found it difficult to say "no" to anyone especially to those who needed food and shelter. She especially loved her brothers. Her doors were always wide open for each of them. She was gracious and had the gift of hospitality.  Her love for her nieces and nephews was unsurpassed. If it was in her power to do anything for them she would. No one was a stranger in her home, and all were welcomed.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, parents, and favorite Aunt Dorothy! She leaves to mourn her son DeSean (Starlyn) Carey, grandchildren: DeShaunaj, Erica, Arianna, and Chloe. Great grandchildren: King, Amelia, Amina and Amari. Her sister Michelle (Henderson) Ellis, Akron, Ohio; brothers: Andre, Emil, and Lamont Brown and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.

Special thanks to her friends Brenda, Diane ,Treetop, Rick, and Ricka
