Denise Bishop was born February 09, 1951 to Charles and the late Rose Bishop. She departed this life on September 9, 2019.

Denise was educated in the Newark school system. She had two daughters Tanya Bishop and the late Sharonda Bishop. Denise worked for many years as a bar maid and for the Newark Housing Authority.

Denise affectionately known as "Nesie" was a mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, and a dear friend. She loved cooking and making people laugh. She spent her best days caring for and loving all of her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Nesie will be forever be missed by Charles Bishop(father), Charles Spivey (brother), Tanya Bishop (daughter), four grandaughters (Sequoia, Shaniqua, Quadirah, Taliyah), six grandsons (Khaleel, Ameer, Bilal, Najee, Quazir, Zayin), Nasier (great grandson), four great granddaughters (Zoey, Malaysia, Amiyah, Journee), Marsha Swain (best friend), Emma Jean Savage (friend), Frances Bowen (step mother), Rae Rae Benners (Cousin) and a host if relatives and friends.
