Funeral service will be held on Thursday, August 10, 2017, 10:00AM at St. Francis Catholic Church, 826 Cottonwood St. Burial will follow at Elmwood Memorial Park.Delores was born on April 9, 1925, to Adolfo Mata and Rafaela Duenes Mata in Gonzales, Texas. As a child, she assisted her parents with helping around the house and taking care of her family. Delores met and later married the love of her life, Jose Moreno. She was a devout Catholic woman who enjoyed attending family gatherings, gardening, spending time with her family, keeping her home clean, and watering her plants. Delores was also an avid dog lover. She enjoyed helping others and often helped in her church's kitchen. Delores is forever loved and will be missed by her friends and family. She is preceded in death by her husband, Jose Moreno; son, Tony Moreno; her parents, Adolfa and Rafaela Mata; three sisters, and four brothers.She is survived by her children: Christina Vincent, Gertrude Carriola, John Moreno, and Arthur Moreno; sister, Sophia Mata Botello; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
