Delores Hughes passed away on February 21, 2025, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She was born on June 4, 1931, to Jerome and Janette Mary Roddey.
Delores was married to Leon Gary Hughes in 1951, and they had two children, Charles Hughes and Wanda Hughes. She also leaves behind three beloved grandchildren, Charles Jr., Scharmel, and Theresa, and a host of nieces and nephews.
Delores worked at Harlem Hospital and retired in 1995. In her free time, she enjoyed sewing, cooking, playing cards, and traveling. If you knew Delores you knew cooking was her love language. She made the best fried fish and potatoe salad you ever had.
She will be remembered for her kind heart and loving spirit, and the love she had for her family.
