Delmer Carroll Caskey 1921-2016Delmer Carroll Caskey passed away on Friday, September 16, 2016 in Fort Worth, Texas. Caroll was born on December 23, 1921 in Groveton, Texas to John and Bonnie Caskey. He attended school in Groveton and graduated from Trinity High School. After graduation, Carroll served in the C.C.C.'s until his discharge in 1941. He went on to serve in the Army of the United States for four years.After his discharge he served as a merchant marine in the Coast Guard. Carroll retired from the State of Texas Highway Department as an engineer. Prior to moving to Fort Worth, Carroll resided in Crockett, Texas.His survivors include his sisters in law, Elouise and Jaynice Caskey; eight nieces and nephews, and several great nieces and nephews.Carroll is preceded in death by his wife, Mae of Lovelady and long time companion Clara of Nacogdoches, TexasA graveside service is scheduled for Thursday, September 22, 2016 at 1:00pm at the Cedar Grove Cemetery in Trinity, Texas.
