We mourn the loss of Dejourl Jenkins, who was born on February 13, 1963, in Richmond City, Virginia, United States. He was the beloved son of David Jenkins Sr. and Roslyn Powell (Jenkins). Dejourl was a devoted husband to his wife Bettie Lynn Jenkins, whom he married in the year 17. Together, they raised three children: David Jenkins, Linwood Jenkins, and his only daughter Dejourl Jenkins, named after her father as he considered her his first true love.

Dejourl was a hard worker and dedicated provider for his family, always putting their needs above his own. He worked tirelessly until he succumbed to his injuries, never once complaining as his faith in the Lord was unwavering. In 1999, he gave his life to the Lord and committed himself to serving Him faithfully. Dejourl was an active member of the Little Grove Baptist of Suffolk Virginia organization, where he selflessly helped others in need.

Besides his dedication to his family and faith, Dejourl enjoyed serving the Lord and spreading His message of love and compassion. He leaves behind a legacy of kindness, forgiveness, and unwavering faith for his loved ones to cherish.

Dejourl is survived by his wife, children, and two grandchildren. Though he may no longer be with us, his memory will live on in the hearts of all those who knew and loved him. May he rest in peace in his final home, reunited with the Lord whom he served so faithfully.
