Debra Marie James, born on December 13, 1959, in Louisiana, to Arthur James and Lizzie Mae Grimes, who preceded her in death. Debra peacefully left this world on April 24, 2024.

Debra is preceded in death by her son, Drayvon Lamont James, and five adoring grandchildren. She attended Alan Leroy Locke High School and graduated in 1978. Debra was an active member of the Southside Bethel Baptist Church organization, where she dedicated her time and energy to helping others.

Debra had a passion for music and served as the Choir Director at her church. Her beautiful voice and unwavering dedication brought joy to all who knew her. Debra's warm smile and kind heart will be deeply missed by her friends, family, and community.

Although Debra is no longer with us, her spirit will live on in the memories we shared with her. May she rest in peace, surrounded by the heavenly choir she now leads.
