This obituary is administered by:
Debra Kaye CuneoCamarillo, CADebra Kaye Cuneo, 59, of Camarillo passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday May 31st, 2017 surrounded by family after a courageous 7 month battle with cancer. She was the wife of David Anthony Cuneo with whom she shared a life for over 35 years.Debra was born on June 16th, 1957 in San Mateo, Ca to Lillian Gorman and Alvin Elliott. She was the eldest of five children and a natural born leader. She spent most of her childhood in the Mountain View area where her driven spirit led her to graduate early from Mountain View High School. Debra soon entered the work force and was able to experience life on her own. She quickly gained skills as a bookkeeper, for which she would successfully use throughout her working years. It was during her employment with the Bay Area floral transportation company, Wilsey Bennet, that she met her loving husband, David Cuneo. On October 2nd, 1982, Debra and David were married in Redwood City. In the years to follow, Debra blessed David with three beautiful children: Christina, Daniel, and Ashley. Early in their marriage, Debra developed a love for interior design, for which she eventually went to school and achieved certification. She had a knack for decorating and was always remodeling their home with David lovingly obliging his assistance from hanging curtains to moving furniture. She was also a very skilled seamstress and cook. It was not unusual to find Debra sewing new curtains or costumes for her children or experimenting with new recipes. It was those recipes that her family happily gathered over for their Sunday night dinner tradition. Debra is survived by her husband, David, and their three children: Daniel Cuneo, Ashley Cuneo, and Christina Inglis; son-in-law Christopher Inglis; parents Lillian and Gary Hulse; grandchildren Gianna and Logan Inglis; and siblings Frank Elliott, Johnny Elliott, and Nancy Jones. Debra was welcomed into heaven by her brother Alvin Elliott, aunt Diane Ward, and uncles John, George, and Frank Gorman.A memorial service will be held in honor of Debra's life on Friday, June 16th 2017, her 60th Birthday, at 11:00 a.m. at Griffin Family Funeral Chapels, 1075 East Daily Drive, Camarillo.
