Debra Jean RainierMARION: Debra Jean Rainier, age 67, of Marion passed away after a long battle with ovarian cancer on Monday, October 24, 2016, at 5:25 PM in the Marion General Hospital. She was born on December 12, 1948 in Marion, Ohio to the late Willis "Jack" and Jane "Pat" (Frederick) Kissling. Deb was a 1966 graduate of Elgin High School. She began her employment in 1966 with the National City Bank and spent 40 years in the banking industry before her retirement. Deb married Harold H. "Hal" Rainier on November 1, 1980 in Marion, Ohio and he survives. She is also survived by a son; Aaron(Andrea) Rainier of Centennial, CO., a daughter; Christine (Doug) Moore of Galena, OH., a brother; Bob Kissling of Marion, OH., a sister; Jackie Eisele-Kissling of Marion, OH., four grandchildren; Jarett Moore of Galena, OH., & Ezra Rainier, Joslyn Rainier, and Payton Smythe all of Centennial, CO., and two brother-in-laws; Robert (Barb) Rainier of Caledonia, OH. & Mike (Lynda) Fetter of East Amherst, N.Y. Deb was a caring person who loved children. Her personal donations went to help the Marion Area Humane Society, ASPCA, and any organization that assisted people or pets. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 12, 2016, at 10:00 AM in the Emanuel Lutheran Church conducted by Kevin Kehn A.I.M. The family will be receiving friends following the service.
