A Life Well Lived

Debra Silas, beloved wife, mother, and queen of chaos, shuffled off this mortal coil on January 3, 2024, leaving a trail of laughter and mayhem in her wake. Born on January 1, 1964 in Cross South Carolina Debra was known for her larger-than-life personality and her unmatched ability to turn any situation into a comedy sketch.

Debra was the daughter of Willie Silas and Annie Silas, a dynamic duo of humor and mischief themselves. It's no wonder that Debra inherited their mischievous spirit and quick wit, which she would later pass down to her nine wonderful children: Patrice Wilder, Malik Wilder, Malcolm Silas, Marion Wilder, Deborvhas Lingley, Rosieanna Wilder, Brittany Bowers, Brandy McCants, and Ronell Silas. With a brood like that, Debra never had a dull moment.

She had a knack for turning mundane family activities into riotous adventures. Family dinners were filled with uncontrollable laughter as Debra, with her impeccable timing, turned simple tasks like setting the table or passing the salt into slapstick routines. No one could keep a straight face around her.

Debra's talent for comedy had a unique flavor – part sarcasm, part mischief, and fully unpredictable. Debra had the rare ability to find the funny side of life's bewildering moments and remind us all to laugh when things started getting too serious.

In her spare time, Debra enjoyed keeping up with the latest trends in fashion, often standing out with her vibrant and eclectic style. She had an unmatched ability to rock mixed patterns and colors that would make fashion critics gasp – and then they would burst into laughter, unable to resist her charm.

Debra's impact on our lives is immeasurable. Her infectious laughter, her ability to lighten even the darkest moments, and her ridiculously funny antics will be sorely missed. Though her time with us was too short, we can find solace in the belief that she has embarked on her greatest adventure yet, making the angels chuckle up in heaven.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made to organizations dedicated to bringing laughter to those who need it most.

Farewell, Debra Silas – comedian extraordinaire, laughter instigator, and forever the life of the party. May you keep them rolling in the aisles wherever you are.

You can to the family or in memory of Debra Silas.
