Dean Willard Banks Sr.HaslettPassed away on June 13, 2017 at the age of 86. He was born on August 25, 1930 in Lansing, MI., to Harvey and Mildred (Richmond) Banks. Dean proudly served his country in the U.S. Air Force for 6 years during the Korean conflict. He graduated from MSU with a BS degree in the college of business.Dean had a banking career for 36 years; upon his retirement he worked for a short time as a driver for Buege Buick. He enjoyed golfing, playing cards and traveling. His special love was MSU basketball and football; with a memorable trip to the Rose Bowl in 1988.Dean was preceded in death by his parents, daughter Lynn Banks; son, Bruce Banks; and sister, Patricia Banks. Surviving to cherish his memory are his wife of 43 years, Lorraine; son, Dean W. (Melinda) Banks Jr.; and two stepdaughters Barbara Lehman and Nancy Creed; combined family of six grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; sister, Saundra (Donald) Farnum; brother, Gregg (Brenda) Denton and the mother of his children Iris Beach.A special thanks to Burcham Hills Rehab for the great care Dean received; and a special thank you to Dr. Dennis Perry M.
