Dean Gary Soderquist , 79, passed on March 11, 2022. He was born to Alvin Soderquist and Delila Mosgen in Ferron, Utah on November 23, 1942. He has 4 brothers, 3 of whom are still living.
He married Cheryl Evertsen in 1968. Together they raised 4 children Diana (Aaron), Shawn (Cindy), Brian, Cindy (Neils). He is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. He and Cheryl divorced in 2002 and he married Edna in 2003 and gained 11 bonus children and many beautiful grandchildren and great grandchildren. They were sealed in 2004 for time and all eternity.
Dean graduated from East High in 1960 and received a degree from the University of Utah in 1969.
Dean worked at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints as a Craftsman and was passionate about affecting the most positive change in people. He was the most amazing craftsman and worked in visitor centers all over the world creating beautiful murals, diaramas and displays. He also worked at the Church Museum until he retired. He was an artist and sculptor. He loved to garden and could build pretty much anything.
Dean Loved the gospel and his savior Jesus Christ, and loved serving others. He was a chaplain at a local hospital giving hope and comfort to those who needed it.
Dean was diagnosed with liver cancer in May of 2021 and passed peacefully on March 11, 2022. We will miss him, but know we will see him again. Gone, but not forgotten, we love you and honor you.
