SOUTH ELGIN - David W. McLain, Jr., age 35, of South Elgin, passed away suddenly Wednesday morning, November 16, 2016, at Delnor Hospital in Geneva, IL. David was born on May 23, 1981, in Elgin, and was the only son born to David W., Sr. and Denise (nee' Freeman) McLain. David was a resident of the Dundee Elgin area for most of his life. He was a 15 year employee of Tucker's Window Service in Elgin. He was a gifted Musician and Songwriter as well as a talented Guitarist. On March 14, 2010 he married Michelle N. Polley. Survivors include his loving wife; Michelle and his two beautiful children, David Parker (age 6) & Violet Beverly (age 4). Other survivors include his parents; David & Denise, his sister; Sharon (Mark) Hlinak, his father-In-law; David (Carole) Polley, his mother-in-law; Mary (Dennis, Sr.) Mosinski, his sister-in-law; Jennifer Polley as well as countless good and faithful friends. In addition to his maternal grandparents; Ralph M. & Mary Jane Freeman, David was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather; Wayne F. McLain, and his sister LCPL Beverly D. McLain, USMC. Visitation was held on Sunday, November 20, 2016 from 11:00 A.M.-2:00 P.M. at Miller Funeral Home, West Dundee. At David's request he will be cremated and there will be no funeral ceremony.
