Our beloved husband, father, and grandfather David Salvador Lucero passed away on Feb. 8, 2016 at Lovelace Hospital in Albuquerque.David was born on March 4, 1935 in Tecolotito to the late Juan P. and Rosa Lucero. He worked as a construction laborer for many years. He enjoyed dancing, camping, the casinos and spending time with family and friends.David and Rosa married in 1955 they shared 60 wonderful years together and were blessed with five children. He is survived by his wife, Rosa Lucero of Tecolotito; daughter, Frances Lucero of Las Vegas; three sons, Richard (Helen) Lucero of Las Vegas, Roy (Lisa) Lucero of Tecolotito, David (Nina) Lucero of Las Vegas; 13 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Petra (Reynaldo) Lerma of Albuquerque, Rita (Juan) Hinostroza of Crowley, Colo.; one brother, Freddy Lucero of Tecolotito; brothers-in-law, Juan(Marcelina) Baca of Dahlia, Elfigo (Celsa) Baca, Horacio (Sara) Baca, Elias (Carmen) Baca, all of Albuquerque; sister-in-law, Cilia Marquez of Phoenix, and Nestora Baca of Clovis, along with a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many good friends.He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Vangie Sandoval; four brothers, Jose, Alberto, Johnny, and Benerito Lucero, and one sister, Emilia Lucero.He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and friend with a strong passion for life and people. He had a kind heart always ready to help anyone in need. Heaven's gain is our loss and we will miss him dearly. Cremation has taken place and services will be held at a later date.
