Darci, the love of his life, was by his side when he passed. He was also surrounded by friends and family on the days leading up to his death.David is survived by father Patrick O'Brien (spouse Norma; half brother Patrick & half sister Laureen); half brother Phil and half sisters Dawn, Terrie and Susie. wife Darci and her grown children Adam & Amy (spouse Dan); grown children Shawn (spouse Samantha and children Jordan & Jace), Mandy (spouse Arturo and children Celeste, Romeo, Jocelyn, Rozelyn, Keira, Jayden & Arturo), Kierstin (spouse Kenny and children Ryan & Davis) & Scott (child Dane). He is preceded in death by his mother (Shirley) and newborn son (Michael).David was born on September 18, 1954 at Travis Air Force Base, CA to Patrick O'Brien and Shirley Jackson. He graduated from Rosamond High School in 1972 and went on to work in logistics at Northrop Corporation. David was a very accomplished salesman who could sell ice to eskimos. He was a very hard worker and was loved by all who had the pleasure of knowing him. Often times he had a hard time settling down or sitting still, but that all seemed to change 13 years ago when he met and fell in love with his wife Darci. He enjoyed life and loved to watch sports, especially when his grandchildren were playing! He was a generous, kind-hearted, funny and dedicated man who loved his family and friends and who was passionate about life and his grandchildren. A celebration of life will be set at a later date.
