David M. Gapter, of Boulder, passed away May 11, 2017 in Erie. He was 67. David was born on July 5, 1949 in Boulder, CO to Gene and Patricia (Winslow) Gapter. He graduated from Fairview High School in 1967 and lived in the Boulder area his entire life. He was a telephone lineman for 47 years. David was a member of the Boulder Elks Lodge. To David being a grandfather was first and foremost. His hobbies were fishing, cars, and road trips and he enjoyed going to Las Vegas and Central City. He was preceded in death by his parents, and brother-in-law Larry Culbertson. David is survived by a daughter, Shanda Farner; grandchildren, Logan Farner, Kaleb Farner, and Daphene Farner; a sister, Patricia Culbertson and a brother Daniel Gapter and his wife Caroline. Funeral service will be held 10:00 AM, Thursday, May 18, 2017 at Ahlberg Funeral Chapel in Longmont, with interment at Green Mountain Cemetery, Boulder.
