Zunker, David LawrenceOn October 2, 2017 at the age of 53, David L Zunker was called home to The Lord. He died peacefully at home, surrounded by his family. He fought a courageous battle with cancer for the past two years. David was born on Oct 11, 1963 in Milwaukee to Judith & Clark Zunker. He grew up in the Wausau area most of his life. He graduated from Wausau West High School in 1983. After a few different occupations, he settled in at Marathon Cheese Corp for last 25 years prior to his diagnoses. He loved spending time with his family, going camping and ATVing. He also enjoyed doing wood working. He was a huge Packer fan. Those who knew David knew he had a big heart and would help anyone if he could. He will be dearly missed by all those that knew him. David is survived by his father, Clark Zunker, Stepmother Marilyn Zunker (Kronnenwetter), his wife, Anna Zunker (Wausau), four children - Dustin Zunker (Norfolk, Virginia), Amy Zunker (Wausau), Darin (Heather) Zunker (Wausau), Ashley Zunker (Racine), a stepson Mathew, stepdaughter Heather (both of Wausau), 4 step grandchildren, Sierra, Trinity, Ori, Dylan (all of Wausau). Siblings: Angela Colby (Edger), Beth Zunker (Wausau), James Zunker (Wausau). And many nieces, nephews, other relatives & friends. He was preceded in death by his mother Judith (Schmidt) Zunker. Grandparents - Joseph & Emma Schmidt, Gertrude Zunker, George Zunker. Services will be held on Saturday, October 7, 2017 at John J.
