O'Brien, David J.David J. O'Brien, 75, Green Bay, died Thursday, June 1, 2017. He was born on November 24, 1941, in Green Bay to Thomas and Ruth (Rodaer) O'Brien.David graduated from Green Bay West High School, Class of 1960. He worked for Nicolet Paper for 25 Years and retired from the Green Bay School System as a custodian. On September 15, 1962, Dave married Janice Halron at SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church. He loved playing baseball, bowling in couples' leagues, watching his four grandchildren play sports, camping with his family, and traveling with Jan and best friends, Sharon VanStraten and the late Gary VanStraten; taking the grandchildren on the annual O'Brien/VanStraten weekends.Dave is survived by his wife, Jan; children, Kelly Katers, Thomas O'Brien; four grandchildren, Kimberly Katers (special friend, David Dunbar), Kelsey Rae Katers, Jonathan "J.T." O'Brien, Sarah O'Brien; sister Carole (Richard) Pleshek; in-laws, Ken and Ann Halron, Kathleen Madigan, Patricia and Norman Leary, Stephen and Sandi Halron; many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.He was preceded in death by his son, Kevin; his parents; and a sister, Susan, and other relatives and friends.In accordance with the family's wishes, no services will be held.
