" Don't Worry Be Happy" Homegoing Celebration for David Hall
David Hall, a beloved resident of Mound Bayou, Mississippi, passed away on March 9, 2026 at the age of 75. Born on September 19, 1950, he was the fifth child of thirteen. David was known for his kind heart and generous spirit. He was a pillar of the community, always willing to lend a helping hand to those in need. In 1970 David moved his family to Gary, IN. While there, he worked at the US Steel Mill for the Sanitation Department and The Department of Transportation. In 1990 he returned to Mound Bayou, MS. and found employment at Baxter's. He will be remembered for his warm smile, infectious laughter, and unwavering dedication to his friends and neighbors. David's presence will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
He leaves to cherish all memories: 3 sisters: Beatrice Smith, Lula Junearick, and Dorothy Norwood all of Mound Bayou, MS; 2 brothers: Joseph Walter of Mound Bayou, MS. and John Henry of Gary, IN; 8 children: Willie D. Edwards, Kevan Edwards, Vernita Jones, Geen Edwards, Fred Edwards, David Hall, Mary Hopkins and Monia Parramore; 29 grandchildren, 36 great grand children, his longtime companion Rose, and a host of family and friends.
