David Strauser, 80, of Indianapolis, Indiana, passed on July 16, 2023. David was born on March 20, 1943 to the late Delmar Ancil and Lucille Strauser. David was a graduate of Arsenal Technical High School and attended Purdue University. He was a master mechanic, owning his own shell stations and towing service. David later became a successful Real Estate Broker and was co-owner of Century 21 Portfolio.

David was a member of Southwood Baptist Church and the Indianapolis KART Club. He was a licensed airplane pilot, and enjoyed 30+ years of Enduro Go-Kart racing, was an avid Indy 500 fan attending 53 consecutive races, and a life-time New York Yankees fan. David was also a talented Disco dance instructor.

Visitation will be Saturday, July 22nd, 2023 from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service at 2:00 p.m. at Shirley Brothers Washington Memorial Chapel, 9606 E. Washington Street.

David is survived by his loving wife of 34 years, Judy Strauser; children, Dane Strauser (Rita), Diann Cooper (Tim), Darin Strauser (Yelena) and Daniel Strauser (Anne Van Arsdel); step-daughter, Julia Jones (Mike); grandchildren, Charles Strauser (Hannah), Emily Gosnell, Richard Strauser, Austin Cooper, Sydney Cooper, Alexander Strauser, Xavier Strauser, Emaleigh Polley and Bayleigh Jones; dearest niece, Debbie Lemke & family; four adorable great-grandchildren; closest cousin, Linda Haywood & family; and beloved dogs, Jack and Tucker. He was preceded in death by his siblings, Joan, Rosemary and John Strauser; as well as his first wife, Sharon.
