David Frank Tolf, son of Micky and Ruthie Tolf, passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 26, 2016.David was born on July 18, 1953, in Orange, CA. Along with his family, David moved to Iran for two years when he was 5, and grew up in Elk Hills and Taft. David graduated from Taft High School in 1971. He worked as a rig operator in the oilfields for twenty years. He also worked many years for the Bakersfield Californian and Target.David is survived by his daughter, Shannon (Paul) Moyemont; sisters, Debbie (Dennis) Gibson, Laney (Rick) Eubanks: his beloved grandson, Ashton; and nieces and nephews, Robert and Lori, Dinah and Charles, Harmony and Evan, Rebecca, Stephanie, Erin, Molly, Ryan, Emerald, Kayla, Kylee, and Tyler.David was a gentle soul who loved his family and friends deeply. He was a NASCAR fan through and through and loved to talk about his Bears and Chiefs. In his younger days, he enjoyed racing motorcycles. His smiley eyes and salty humor will be greatly missed by all.A graveside service for family and friends will be held at Greenlawn Memorial Park Southwest, 2739 Panama Lane, at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, December 15, 2016.
