David E. Quimby82, of Indianapolis, passed away on Thursday, July 6, 2017 at St. Vincent Hospice in Indianapolis. He was born on September 10, 1934 to the late Oscar and Marguerite (Shirk) Quimby in Cincinnati, Ohio.David proudly served his country in the United States Air Force Reserve, and graduated from Miami University. For over 50 years, he worked as a financial planner, most recently with Heritage Advisory Group. David was a member of Second Presbyterian Church where he was active in the choir. He enjoyed puzzles, and was a Friend of Bill W. for over 30 years.David is survived by his wife of 39 years, Jane Quimby; children, Beth Wiles (husband, Barry), Laurie Pereira (husband, J.R.), David Quimby, Katie Quimby (husband, Eitan Yanich), Chris Quimby, and John Boe (wife, Jamie); sisters, Barbara Boal and Marcina Barker; eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, July 10, 2017 at Second Presbyterian Church, 7700 N Meridian Street in Indianapolis, with visitation from 10:00 a.m. to the time of service.
