David C. LyonPALMYRA - David C. Lyon, 78, died on Tuesday (November 22, 2016). Family and friends are invited to call from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday (December 2) at the Robert L. Yost Funeral Home, Inc., 123 West Main Street, Palmyra, N.Y. Dave's funeral will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday (December 3) at Western Presbyterian Church of Palmyra, 101 East Main Street, Palmyra. Main St., Palmyra, NY 14522.Dave was born on October 20, 1938, in Newark, N.Y., the son of C. Roy and Verona Kussie Lyon. He was a 1960 graduate of Cornell University and earned an MBA from Michigan State, in 1963. Dave was a member of Western Presbyterian Church and the East Palmyra Fire Dept. He had served as Town Councilman in Palmyra, for many years, before becoming the Town of Palmyra Supervisor, a position he held until his retirement in 2010. Dave was currently serving as Chairman of Wayne County Water and Sewer Authority. Mr. Lyon was a member of the Marion American Legion Post 4141.
