David C. Brehm, 76, passed away Sunday, October 23, 2016 at Florida Ormond Memorial Hospital. Dave was born on March 7, 1940 in the Inwood section of Manhattan. He was a graduate of Cardinal Hayes High School and Saint Francis College of Brooklyn. Dave is survived by his loving wife Joan of 54 years, Son David (Laura), Daughter Elizabeth (John), Grandsons David and Daniel, Granddaughters Alexa and Jenna and twin brother Peter. As well as dogs Spotz and Lily. Dave was a loving father, husband, grandfather and friend to all who met him. Since moving to Florida, he enthusiastically volunteered his time at the Greyhound Pets of America, Daytona Beach. Dave was a passionate fan of the NY Mets, Jets and Rangers. Dave was an avid runner who completed numerous marathons and was a daily fixture at the Halifax Plantation gym. The family will greet friends on Friday, October 28th for a memorial service at St. Brendan's Roman Catholic Church, 1000 Ocean Shore Blvd. (A1A), Ormond Beach at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Greyhound Pets Of America, Daytona Beach, 200 Hernandez Ave., Ormond Beach, Florida 32174.
