David Allen Bluitt, departed his earthly journey
on January 13, 2021 at the young age of 61. He
was born to the late Edgar Lee Bluitt and
Lorraine Velma Clark in Dallas, Texas on
September 22, 1959. He was a student of DISD,
where he completed his studies as a student at
South Oak Cliff High School. David accepted
Christ as his Lord and Saviour at an early age,
as a member of Greater Emmanuel Baptist
Church. David met his beautiful wife, Beverly
and married in 1987 in a union that lasted the
years up to his earthly departure. As time
passed, they would move to Marlin, Tx and join
Bible Way Church Family Worship Center
where David became a Deacon and was highly
motivated to serve the Lord.
He loved to play dominoes and spades, he would
talk “big noise” while playing, even if he didn’t
have a chance at winning. He loved to sing and
listen to music, especially Funk and Gospel.
David lived his last days in Houston, Tx. with
his wife.
David was preceded in death by his parents, and
sister Wannette Clark.
He leaves to cherish his precious memories, his
wife Beverly Bluitt; children Christopher Andre
Lewis, NeKevous Ford, Fannie Lewis, Jeffery
Lewis, David Allen Lewis-Bluitt Jr.; sister
Sherry Redmond; and brother Terry Clark. He
is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 3 great
grandchildren and a host of relatives and
friends.
