David M. Dixon Sr, aka David Michael Dixon beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend to many passed away on January 14, 2024, in Myrtle Point, Oregon, unexpectedly.
He was born on November 2, 1952, and was adopted by William H Dixon and Irma Lee Dixon. He had children with Sharon J Alden. A daughter named Karen J Ortiz and a son named David M Dixon Jr. David was blessed with three grandsons
Triston Ortiz, Gavin and Jaxon Dixon.
In 2016, he re-married a woman he dated named Kelli Dixon. Kelli and David lived in Redding California first and bought a property in Myrtle Point Oregon.
Kelli had two adult children from a previous marriage and two grandchildren.
David attended Royal High School and graduated in 1970 before continuing his studies at Pierce College and Moorpark College. He dedicated many years of his life to being self-employed as a grove manager and handyman, as well as working for Habitat for Humanity where he built houses from the ground up.
David served his country with honor in the United States Airforce, achieving the rank of SGT. In his free time, he enjoyed hobbies such as archery, fishing, camping, and wood working. He also helped his neighbors and communities wherever he lived.
He will be remembered for his hard work, dedication to his family, and his kind and generous spirit. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
David Dixon is survived by his wife, children, grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends. May he rest in peace.
