It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of David Smith, who met his untimely end in a car accident on August 10, 2025. David was born on March 4, 1985, to Nicholas and Malinda Smith in Louisiana, Missouri.

David was a proud graduate of Sharptown High School, class of 2010. He had a passion for basketball, spending countless hours on the court perfecting his jump shot and crossover dribble. David had no children of his own, but he was a beloved uncle to his nieces and nephews.

Despite his fiery competitiveness on the basketball court, David was known for his quick wit and infectious laugh off the court. He had a way of lighting up a room with his presence and making everyone feel at ease.

Though we mourn his loss, we choose to remember David for the joy and laughter he brought into our lives. Rest in peace, dear friend. You will be greatly missed.
