Our father David E. Gallagher passed away in the home he shared with his oldest daughter on Thursday July 20th, 2023. Although he will be missed by many, we are truly grateful he is no longer suffering. 

-David was born on July 3rd, 1958. He was the youngest surviving child of Doyle and Mary Helen Gallagher. He was raised in Tylertown along with his older sister Janice (Sanford) and two older brothers Ronnie and Tim.  

-Our dad was a kind gentle man who had his fair share of struggles. He valued time alone and peace and quiet. He was very talented when it came to working with his hands. He was skilled and strong. He could build a house from the raw dirt thru completion. Or he could sit alone and delicately draw something absolutely beautiful. 

-He was survived by his 3 children Carrie Guylette, Tara (Chris) Albers, and Cody Gallagher (Cody’s mother Carla Gallagher). His grandchildren: James and Thomas Guyllette, Dallas, Alexis, and Ryllie  Albers. A sister Janice Sanford and an older brother Ronnie (Martha) Gallagher. Along with many other nieces, nephews, and friends. 

-He was preceded in death by his parents Doyle and Mary-Helen Gallagher. An older brother Tim Gallagher, and an infant brother Mark Gallagher. 

-Our family plans to hold a small memorial service at Union Baptist Church on Saturday July 29th, 2023 at 3pm. He will be buried there near his parents and other relatives as he requested. In lieu of sending flowers, the family asks for donations be made to Union Baptist Church to assist with the upkeep of their cemetery.
