Daryl Wiggins, aged 54, of Springfield, Massachusetts, passed away on May 3, 2025. Today , we gather to celebrate and honor the life of Daryl Lee Wiggins. A loving husband,father, grandfather, son, and friend, Dary's memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved him.
Born on February 18, 1971, in Springfield, MA, Daryl was the son of Willie L. Wiggins and Patricia J. Brown, and raised by Thomas Brown. As a young child he brought joy, energy, and a sense of adventure to everyone around him. Born and raised in Springfield, MA, Daryl was known for his bright spirit and endless enthusiasm. As a student at R. L. Vocational
Technical High School, he was a talented athlete, excelling in both football and baseball.
Daryl's passions were many, but none more fulfilling than the time he spent with his family. He was the father of four beautiful children, and grandfather to three wonderful grandchildren.
He found great joy in spending time with his grandchildren and shared his love of nature and the outdoors with them, often taking his grandsons fishing. In addition teaching them how to cook and basic life skills
Daryl had a wealth of creativity and artistic talent. Whether through his artwork, his poetry, or his culinary skills, he shared his gift of expression with those around him. He was an exceptional artist who could capture the beauty of the world with just a pencil, and his poetry offered a window into his soul.
Daryl was no stranger in the kitchen. He loved to cook for his family, always putting his heart into every dish, making meals that were full of love. Cooking wasn't just a passion-it was also an opportunity to make a career for himself. He often talked about starting a food truck with his daughter one day. As a chef, Daryl found joy in both working hard and sharing his food with others.
His kitchen was a place where he gave freely, and in doing so, found fulfillment and happiness.
Daryl's sense of humor touched everyone who knew him. His smile was infectious, his laughter uplifting, and his heart as big as his talent. Whether he was in the kitchen creating a meal, on a fishing trip with his grandsons, or sharing a story with a friend, Daryl always made those around him feel special. He loved to hang with his best friend Murph and have some good times. When you saw the Cadillac coming down the street you knew good times had arrived.There wasn't a day that you didn't see him smiling or laughing. Daryl was simply the life of the party
